While you’ve experienced Independence Hall, maybe caught a Philadelphia Eagles or Philadelphia Phillies game, you haven’t truly seen Philadelphia until you venture out on the Delaware River with a lunch or dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia.

Throw in the mix of great cocktails and delicious food, you’ll really get to enjoy yourself. The Spirit of Philadelphia cruises out of Penn’s Landing, seven days a week.

For lunch cruises, boarding begins at 11:30 AM with the cruise from noon until 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. On Saturday, boarding begins at 11:00 AM, cruising from 11:30 to 1:30. Sunday cruises are offered with boarding at 12:30 PM, setting sail from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Dinner cruises can be the perfect option for couples looking for a fun date night while on vacation or if you are a Philly native. Dinner cruises sail Monday through Thursday with boarding at 6:30, cruising from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Friday and Saturday, the boat boards at 7:00 PM, sailing from 7:30 to 10:30 PM. On Sunday, the boat boards at 5:30 and cruises from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

What Do They Serve?

When we set sail, we ate some of the best tasting food we have ever had. We chose the organic spinach and kale salad and beef short ribs. As if the food wasn’t enough, dessert was pretty great too.

The menu always includes a salad option, entrée, and dessert. Salad options on the current menu include an organic mixed field greens salad, an organic spinach and kale salad, or a Mediterranean couscous and chickpea salad. Entrée options include oven roasted salmon and tilapia, chicken Parmesan meatballs, twice cooked beef short ribs, baked ziti, roasted broccoli and mashed Spirit of Philadelphia View From a Tablepotatoes. Desserts are mini pastries, brownies, and seasonal fruit.

What Your Ticket Includes

Each ticket includes your place on the ship, your lunch or dinner, unlimited tea, coffee, iced tea, and water, live DJ, dance floor, and interactive games. You can even upgrade your experience to include a window table or creative cocktails. Lunch cruises start at $49 for adults and $34 for children. Dinner cruises start at $92 for adults and $53 for children.

Lunch or dinner cruises will give you breathtaking views of the Philadelphia skyline, but you’ll also see some of the famous waterfront sights that Philly has to offer.
