The Jungle Queen Riverboat is Ft. Lauderdale’s Must Do Scenic Cruise

Megan Roche October 29, 2018

Looking for a sightseeing cruise in Fort Lauderdale? Look no further than the Jungle Queen Riverboat. Jungle Queen offers many different tour options all on a scenic riverboat.

Where is the Jungle Queen?

Jungle Queen Riverboat Ft. Lauderdale Animal EncounterLocated at 801 Seabreeze Boulevard, the docks are located right near the Bahia Mar Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Parking comes with a fee but there is plenty of parking along the street and the Bahia Mar Hotel so make sure to leave ample time for parking and traffic during certain times of the day.

The coast of Fort Lauderdale is home to some of the most affluent people around the world. Think massive mansions and high priced water front property. You’ll even see some pretty big yachts as you cruise. As you cruise down the New River, enjoy the breeze and ocean air as you relax.

They Have A Private Island!

The Jungle Queen owns a tropical isle where guests can get up close and personal with alligators, iguanas, exotic birds, lemurs, and monkeys and more. As you visit the tropic isle, you can explore and attend an alligator show. There is also a souvenir shop and a café in case you get the munchies!

The Jungle Queen offers a three hour sightseeing tour that lands at their tropical isle every day at 1:30 PM. Boarding begins approximately 45 before departure and the tour arrives back at the dock at 5:30 PM. The small café on board has snacks and drinks for purchase in case you get hungry.

The 90 minute sightseeing tour is a great option for those who have a packed schedule. The 90 minute cruise is fully narrated as you journey down the New River and take a peek at some of the millionaire and celebrity homes that are along the coast. The 90 minute sight seeing tour boards 45 minutes before departing at 11:00 AM. You’ll be back at the dock at 12:30 PM. You won’t get to visit the tropical isle on this tour, but maybe our next point will draw your interest.

Enjoy Dinner & A Show

One of my favorite things to do on vacation combines dinner and a show. The Jungle Queen riverboat sightseeing tour also has a dinner and a show option. Sailing Tuesday through Sunday year round, the four hour sightseeing tour provides guests the option to have dinner on the tropical isle. Leaving at 6:00 PM, you’ll enjoy the sights and sounds of the New River as your guided tour kicks off. When you land at the tropical isle, you’ll be treated to an all you can eat dinner of ribs, chicken, shrimp and all the fixings. There is entertainment both during and after dinner. This cruise can be a late night as you’ll get back to the dock at 10:00 PM.

The 90 minute sightseeing cruise costs $12.20 for children and $22.14 for adults. The three hour sightseeing cruise costs $13.29 for children and $26.62 for adults. The dinner and a show cruise costs $28.40 for children and $48.85 for adults. All cruises sail regardless of the weather and come with laughter everyone can appreciate.
