When was the last time you got out of your comfort zone? Even in the smallest of ways? It’s not so often we actively seek out experiences that place us outside of our comfort, but there are plenty of experiences well worth the effort to do so! One of our favorite ways to do just that is with a trip to Skydeck Chicago.

Skydeck Chicago 365 TicketsChances are you’ve seen a photo on Instagram of someone striking a pose in a precariously perched glass box high above the streets of Chicago. We get it, Skydeck Chicago is the perfect #insta spot.

Aside from getting an awe-inducing photo, Skydeck Chicago often allows even the more daring among us to feel little adrenaline butterflies. Intrigued? Let’s take a closer look at what Skydeck Chicago is, and how you can experience it for yourself.

Take a Walk Onto The Ledge

Skydeck Chicago Tickets at 365 TicketsThe 110 story Willis Tower literally towers over Chicago and is the 2nd tallest building in the U.S, and the eighth tallest in the world. The Skydeck portion of the experience was created in 1974 and has attracted hundreds of millions of visitors over the years. The 360-degree views, on a clear day, offer visibility up to 50 miles, with views of four states.

As if that wasn’t enough, recently The Ledge was created to take the Skydeck experience to a whole new level. After decades of forehead prints being left on the walls of the Skydeck from patrons gazing down below, the idea came to offer an even better view.

Thus, the glass box was created. Once on the Skydeck, visitors can walk out on The Ledge, which extends 4.3 feet out on the 103rd floor. It almost feels as if you’re floating over the city. Of course, it’s perfectly safe, but those little adrenaline butterflies start to flutter regardless!

Experience Skydeck Chicago

Visiting the Skydeck is super simple. For starters, the Skydeck Chicago is open every day from 9 am – 10 pm. Deals on tickets can be found at 365 Tickets USA.  We recommend opting for the early bird tickets so you can enjoy the deck and the glass boxes without other people crowding your experience!

Aside from the Skydeck and the Ledge, there are a variety of other engaging activities and exhibits to enjoy during your visit.

Before and After Your Visit

If you don’t already live in Chicago, you may be wondering what other nearby attractions you can add in before or after visiting the Skydeck. There are tons of nearby attractions; the real challenge lies in choosing which to visit.

To help with that matter, you might want to consider purchasing a Chicago CityPASS, which offers Skydeck Chicago admission, as well as:

  • Shedd Aquarium
  • The Field Museum
  • Option for Adler Planetarium OR Art Institute of Chicago

With the CityPASS, you can check off a variety of Chicago bucket-list items for a much lower price than seeing each attraction individually.

So, is it time to purposefully step outside of your comfort zone and onto the precarious-looking Skydeck Ledge? That’s up to you, but we think it’s a fun, informative, and downright unusual way to experience Chicago  and 365 Tickets USA has tickets and prices for you online.
