City Lights Helicopter Tour is one of the best ways to see Manhattan in all it’s shining glory. The night time flights are offered Friday to Monday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
While the physical airport that guests fly from may be located in New Jersey, getting to Linden Airfield is quick and painless from New York’s Penn Station. Board a train on either the Northeast Corridor Line or North Jersey Coast Line, get off at Linden Station, and look for the Helicopter Bus.

The Bell 407 Helicopter has floor to ceiling windows so guests that are traveling on the tour have a 180 degree view at all times. Guests are placed on the helicopter according to weight to help balance the helicopter.
After boarding the copter, the experience begins by flying directly over Newark Liberty International Airport. The airport is home to thousands of flights each year and is one of the busiest airports in the country.
As guests near the New York area, the Statue of Liberty comes into view. The pilot takes a 360 degree turn around the statue, giving guests the perfect selfie opportunity with Lady Liberty herself.
Some of the other sites included are the Freedom Tower, the Financial District, the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Chelsea, Hudson Yards, Columbus Circle, Empire State Building and even Times Square. Amazing opportunities for great photos of the city skyline.
Before ending the tour, visitors will get one last look at the Statue of Liberty. The tour lasts approximately 25 to 30 minutes, depending on the pilot.
Depending on weather, flights at times do get cancelled. The flight path can also change depending on wind speeds and wind direction. For your tickets to New York City Helicopter Tour, head over to 365 Tickets USA.
