Welcome to Brooklyn, New York, home of delicious pizza, the NBA‚ Brooklyn Nets, and iconic Coney Island. Recently my family and I spent a day in Brooklyn at Luna Park, Coney Island amusement park.

While some enjoy sitting on the beach to relax all day, we were looking for more of a thrill, and Luna Park was just the ticket. Summertime Fun

With so much history at Coney Island, it‚ no surprise that this little gem is home to some of the most popular events during the summer months, including the Mermaid Parade and Nathan‚ Hot Dog Eating contest. The Mermaid Parade is usually hosted in June, while Nathan‚ contest takes place annually during July 4th. These events can draw thousands to Coney Island; so make sure you plan ahead if visiting on those days!

Of course, a hot summer night can also be fun at the ballpark, which happens to be right next door! Home to the Brooklyn Cyclone, an affiliate of the New York Mets, this smaller venue is perfect to spend an evening at the ballpark without dropping a ton of cash.
