As Spring chugs along and Summer inches ever closer, it’s the perfect time to begin planning your next family getaway.
Due to the perfectly blended amount of sunshine, beaches, and attractions, the West Coast – more specifically Southern California, is an ideal family vacation destination.
With multi-generational travel, a range of ages and interests requires a range of activities, and there are few places on the globe more well-equipped to handle such a dilemma as SoCal.
Whether you choose to stay in the L.A. area, or sunny San Diego, you’ll have access to nature’s natural wonders such as the Pacific Ocean, as well as plenty of man-made entertainment.
Since Los Angeles in particular is the entertainment capitol of the U.S. you’ve got more than a few options of things to do and see there.
Tickets, tickets, tickets… in the midst of the planning chaos that sometimes always seems to occur, it can be easy to forget about the importance of booking tickets to attractions and theme parks ahead of time.
Well, to put it plainly – thousands of other vacationers and tourists will be vying for the exact same attractions as you, making day-of ticket purchases challenging over the busy holiday and vacation times such as Summer.
So this is a friendly reminder to add “purchase tickets” to the list next to book hotel, find directions, call the bank, get a gopro… etc. etc.
Without further ado, here is our absolute, must-not-miss SoCal Spring and Summer attraction list:
HARRY POTTER AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD – This is in all-caps because 1. It literally OPENED TODAY (for the first time ever), and 2. Because… it’s HARRY POTTER! But seriously this park is incredible, it features the Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade shops, pulse-pounding rides, and attractions that transport you into a world of magical thrills and excitement. Since the park just opened today, you can bet your bottom dollar that the tickets will sell-out like hotcakes for at least a year, so don’t delay in reserving yours! (Don’t forget, the Harry Potter portion of Universal Studios is only a portion, there’s much much more to explore once you’re done with that!)
LEGOLAND California Resort – LEGOLAND is always a crowd pleaser, especially among the kiddos. This year there’s an 8-foot wide LEGO Star Wars Death Star Model Display that’s been added to the LEGO Star Wars Miniland. The resort features more than 60 rides, shows and attractions all of which are built with the entire family in mind. There is also a Water Park which is a breathe of fresh air on hot summer days.
Madame Tussauds Hollywood – Wax figures so lifelike, you’ll hardly believe they’re wax! It can be a little freaky how real the figures are, but you won’t be able to look away out of sheer amazement. Featuring over 100 wax figures, Madame Tussauds is redefining celebrity encounters.
Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour – Love TV? Love movies? If so, you’ll LOVE checking out the behind-the-scenes magic! One of the world’s busiest motion picture and television studios offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the real Hollywood at work. You’ll wander through back lot streets, sound stages, and craft shops. No two tours are alike and guides will take you to where the action is.
That should be enough to get you started, don’t forget you still have all of the natural wonders and landscape to explore – the beaches, hikes, water sports, etc. As we mentioned earlier, reserving or purchasing tickets to attractions in advance is key to stress-free and happy vacation, and few places offer tickets to as many attractions, and at as low of a price, as 365 Tickets USA. So while you’re in the midst of booking hotels, flights, rentals and more, go ahead and get your tickets too! Vacation is waiting for you, all you have to do is jump onboard!
