Halloween is the King of fun holidays for parents and kids to enjoy together. Even if your kids have reached the age where they can trick or treat without you (and with their friends instead!), there are still plenty of ways to hang out with them during the Halloween season! If your kiddos are little, there’s so much Halloween fun to be had with them! To give you an idea of the excitement and festivities that await, here are 6 of our favorite Halloween-themed amusement parks:
LEGOLAND Brick or Treat
Definitely geared towards the younger kiddos, LEGOLAND (both California and Florida locations) features a special Halloween extravaganza – Brick or Treat – on select weekends in October. From spooky to kooky Bricktacular activities and extended park hours, park goers can look forward to trick-or-treating, themed fireworks, LEGO build activities, meet and greets with LEGO Vampyre, LEGO Mummy, and other spooky characters. What’s more is there is no additional cost to attend!
Knott’s Scary Farm
One of the largest, and most haunting, Halloween experiences in Southern California, Knott’s Berry Farm transforms into Knott’s Scary Farm each Halloween. The park encompasses 13 haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows, and over a 1,000 creepy creatures lurking around every corner. The spookiness runs until October 31st and is not recommended for kids under 13.
Luna Park’s Halloween Harvest
The endearing and fun Luna Park on Coney Island, New York, is another park that goes all out for Halloween! Definitely on the tame side of Halloween, geared more towards Halloween nostalgia and sweetness, rather than scary, Luna Park is great for all ages but especially the little ones! Some of the themed activities include face painting, pony rides, a giant pumpkin patch, costume contests, and more. The Halloween Harvest is one of the best times to enjoy Luna Park!
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood
Some things are too scary to be true. Thankfully that isn’t quite the case at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, but it’s safe to say you will be spooked! This year the park is featuring eight terrifying mazes based on the most frightening films and television shows. There’s also an all-new Terror Tram experience and scare zones! If you’re looking for the perfect dose of manageable scary, Halloween Horror Nights is a great fit. Best for bigger kids, tweens, and teenagers!
Cherish the fun and scary Halloween moments with your kids, because soon the spookiest thing of all will be not having them around each year to get spooked with!
